Football fan phone app, X Sports Connect

Football fans need never feel left on the sidelines thanks to a new phone app idea by a student at Anglia Ruskin University.

X Sports Connect is an interactive application that connects Premiership football teams to their fans around the world and will deliver football results, statistics and discussions within a social media environment.

It was designed by student Kanayo Ogwu who has entered his idea in 'The Big Pitch', a competition aimed at young entrepreneurs studying at Anglia Ruskin.

He is now one of seven finalists hoping to secure one of three £10,000 prizes to help make their business dreams a reality.

The competition is being run by Senior Lecturer Ben Mumby-Croft from the university’s Centre for Enterprise Development and Research (CEDAR) in partnership with Anglia Ruskin’s Research, Development and Commercial Services (RDCS).
