This website aims to conform to the Guidelines for UK government websites, which support the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.
Changing the text size
Microsoft Windows computer: select Start > Control Panel > Display > Settings
Apple Macintosh computer: select System Preferences > Displays > Resolution
Changing the screen colours
You can use your web browser options to choose your own colours. Depending on which web browser you are using, this can be done in the following ways:
Internet Explorer: select Tools > Internet Options > General > Colors
Mozilla Firefox: select Tools > Options > Content > Colors
- Opera: select Tools > Preferences > Fonts and Page Style
- Safari: select Safari > Preferences > Appearance
PDF files
To view and print Portable Document Format (PDF) files, you need the free Adobe Reader software. If you don't have Adobe Reader already, you can download it from www.adobe.com . Follow the link titled 'Get Adobe Reader'. Adobe also provide advice for visually impaired users at access.adobe.com.
Word files
You can view and print Microsoft Word files from Microsoft Word itself or several other word processing packages. Microsoft offer the free Microsoft Word Viewer as a download for Windows users that don't have a suitable word processor. The viewer is available from the Office section of www.microsoft.com.
